Inverter Scroll Technolgy from Quietside
Yaun Co. has been selling the cooling only Quietside mini split which has been both competitive and reliable since the introduction of the 13 seer. We will now be stocking the Quietside high wall heat pump dual zone inverter drive mini splits.
We will have two models a dual 18,000BTU which has two 9,000BTU indoor units with a 15.6 SEER rating and a 24,000BTU which has two 12,000BTU indoor units with a 14.2 SEER rating. The outdoor unit will have a single hermetically sealed DC inverter drive rotary compressor which will provide capacity for both indoor units. The refrigerant flow to each indoor unit is controlled by individual electronic expansion valves located in the outdoor unit. A single reversing valve energized to switch operation from cooling to heat pump. Both indoor units will be connected with its own line set which can be run a maximum of 50ft.
Inverter Technology
Quietside’s inverter air conditioners can reach the required room temperature quickly, resulting in energy savings. When a conventional room air conditioner is switched on the compressor operates at full power to reach the desired room set point temperature and shuts off and come back on at full power. The time required for the compressor switch on and off to maintain the rooms temperature can cause the rooms temperature to fluctuate. The DC inverter compressor will simply operate at a lower speed to closely control the rooms temperature. These new units will both put out more than their rated capacity and will modulate to match the heat gain of the room. The 9,000BTH unit will put out 11,500BTU on high and will go as low as 3,500BTH. The 12,000BTH unit will put out 14,500BTH on high and as low as 5,000BTH at low speed.
