Back to the Future or Biasi Wood / Coal Boilers
Larry H. Richardson, VP of Sales and Service
Back to the future, I’m not sure what that means, but I’ve been waiting to use the phrase somewhere for a long time.
I wonder if the meaning could be tied to what we are experiencing now as we rush toward wood or coal heating appliances. If we can supply equipment to operate on the dried “pies” the cows leave be behind we certainly will have arrived!
On a more serious note, many homeowners are looking to add wood boilers as a backup or
primary heat source.
If you haven’t looked at Biasi’s offering yet, please do so in a hurry.
These boilers are proving to be very popular. A wood boiler with a large heat exchanger, water cooled grates,
an automatic draft damper, triple pass design and a limited lifetime warranty can’t be beat. Oh yes, and affordable!
Installing an add-on wood boiler that is vented above the structure’s roof eliminates some of the objections
that often times accompany the installation of an outdoor wood boiler. Not to mention, it’s probably more
comfortable to go to your basement to add wood than to snowshoe through the snow.
Our experience with these boilers is that you will want to down size the boiler somewhat from the
existing boiler (assuming the existing boiler has heated adequately in the past).
The design of the Biasi wood boiler allows it to produce a lot of heat and a wood boiler that
operates at a higher temperature will run cleaner. An added feature is that this boiler will also
operate on soft (bituminous coal). Call us today!
