L.E.D. Module for Recessed Housings from CREE LTG.
Dave Kawauchi, Electrical Marketing Manager

L.E.D. lighting (Light Emitting Diodes) is the “state of the art” in the lighting industry (see accompanying article in
this edition), providing longer lasting and higher efficiency (40-70% LESS energy usage) lighting than incandescent and fluorescent types as well as helping the environment by lowering the carbon emissions of electric power plants.
CREE Lighting, a leader in the LED movement, has introduced a 6” downlight module for use in recessed fixtures (for both IC and non-IC applications). The LR6 module can be used for new construction or retrofit work and easily installs in most standard recessed housings. The LR6 generates a white light with the LED’s that provides a combination of light output, high efficacy and beautiful color at affordable pricing.
The LR6 delivers 650 lumens on 12 watts of electricity with a high CRI rating of 92 and the lighting is dimmable down to 20%. A quick installation system utilizes a unique retention system – simply attach the fixture socket to the module, adjust module to ready position and slide into housing and finally, rotate the module ¼ turn to the right to lock it into place.
The LR6 is compatible with many manufacturers’ recessed housings including: Progress Ltg. (P87AT-QC and P821AT), Capri, Halo, Lightolier, Lithonia and Juno.
A complete list of compatible housings is available upon request.
Be ready when your customers ask for LED lighting for their recessed lighting needs. Contact your local salesman for pricing and availability for the LR6 module and its accompanying trims from CREE Lighting.
