“OUT OF SITE” IN-USE COVERS From INTERMATIC

David Kawauchi, Marketing Manager Electric Department

Homeowners are always seeking ways to improve the look of their homes. One area that has long been a concern is the “bulky” look of traditional “bubble” covers for their required in-use receptacles. INTERMATIC has a solution with its RECESSED weatherproof receptacle cover that makes the receptacle practically “out of site”.

The WP1000RC (vertical) and WP1000RC (horizontal) covers install recessed in-wall for siding, stucco and brick finishes and protrude out only the depth of the hinged cover (approximately ½”). Single gang inserts for GFCI, toggle, duplex and single receptacle devices come standard. A heavy duty gasket is included to ensure protection from the elements. The cover easily handles two 12/3 cord sets and allows wider access for easy cord set installation. These covers come as a kit and include a back box, siding flange (for clear finish for all siding types), and finish kit. The cover is a polycarbonate construction, heavy duty and UV resistant. The WP1000RC and WP1000HRC both comply with the NEC article 406.8 requiring the use of in-use covers in wet locations. Give your customers a way to improve the look of their homes, for brick and stucco to siding installations. Get their in-use covers “out of site” with recessed covers from INTERMATIC.
