Many manufacturers offer the same products under more than one brand name. Rheem manufacturing has been offering the same products under both names Rheem and Ruud for over 40 Years. When we first took on the Ruud line over 30 years ago this was the only brand available to us at that time. The Ruud brand was always a little lesser known brand as the Rheem brand, to both contractors and the consumer. We from time to time would have to explain to contractors not familiar with the Ruud brand that this product was the same as the Rheem brand which most knew from the water heaters. After a contractor used the Ruud brand the quality of the products removed any questions or concerns. Yaun Co. has been offered and accepted the Rheem brand. This is great news for both you and us, we can now offer a product which the consumer will be more familiar with. We have started to receive product with the Rheem label. For a short time we will be shipping out our current inventory of product with the Ruud label. If you get a unit with the brand, which doesn’t match the brand on your quote we can provide the correct label. Please note you will still see the same model numbers with only one letter change. The model number always starts with four letters the first letter is the brand R = Rheem U=Ruud, the rest of the number stays the same. If you have literature or any other advertising items clocks, signs, truck lettering with the Ruud logo let your salesman know and we can swap it out to with the Rheem logo.
