State-of-the-art Condensate Traps

Yaun Company has been selling EZ Trap products for some time and we still come across contractors who are still using the old hard plastic P-trap or running trap. The old traps work, but you have to cut the PVC pipe if you want to clean out the trap. The new EZ Trap is a kit that is easy to install on any residential or commercial central air conditioning system.

The kit includes an easy to inspect transparent trap which affords complete visibility to see if anything is in the trap. The kit also includes a tee and a Cross tee both of which have snap on covers for easy access to run the provided cleaning brush through the trap. The cross tee can be installed to allow a brush to be pushed into the drain pan opening freeing any buildup. This same kit is also available with a built-in float switch which will shut off the condenser if the drain backs up.

EZ Trap has also added waterless trap kits which eliminates standing water and freezing problems. They can be ordered in both 3/4” and 1” traps which operate like a check valve mounted on a spring which opens when the slight weight of the water pushes down on the spring.

The 5/8” mini waterless in-line trap is designed for the Mini-Split ductless applications. They block odors, noise, and insects, are freeze proof and mount vertically in the drain line.
