Can you or your staff use some professional sales training?

With more contractors competing for the same jobs and consumers looking to get all they can for their money, improving your selling style and thinking out side the box may help to increase your sales. Yaun Company is planning on setting up a sales training class.
Do you think you need to have the cheapest price to get the job? If you do, this is not necessarily the case and you could benefit from this class. A professional contractor knows how to sell himself and the products to the customer.
When you are invited to quote a job, do you only look at what the consumer wants changed? You need to train yourself and your employees to inspect the old system to insure it was installed correctly. Do you need to make costly changes to make your new system work properly without costly call backs?
Do you observe other items in the home which maybe in need of replacement or repair before causing more damage to another part of the system and bringing it to their attention?
Are you offering your customer all the associated products which can be added to the new product? In the case of a warm air furnace, are you offering your customers a higher grade of air filter or a UV light system to kill germs and improve indoor air quality?
Did you notice a console type of humidifier that the homeowner is still filling with a pail? You can offer your customer one which will automatically fill. Many consumers may not know these products are available and will be glad you offered it to them.
