Braeburn 5400 is more than just a thermostat.

Burt Robertson, HVAC Marketing Manager

Introducing the 5400 universal auto changeover thermostat. Do you need a residential thermostat or a commercial thermostat? You decide. System and program modes are determined at the time of installation, simplifying programming steps by automatically removing unnecessary menu options. The flexible programming modes are designed to fit every application: the default energy saving 7 day mode, the simplified 5-2 weekday-weekend mode, or non-programmable.

Need more? The 5400 is also equipped with humidification, dehumidification and fresh air control features. The recirculating fan mode provides even temperature distribution and improves indoor air quality by running the system fan between heating or cooling calls. It also has a programmable independent fan control which allows the user to run the fan continuously during programmed time periods.

Optional 5490 outdoor remote sensor will sense the outdoor temperature and transmits the information to the Braeburn 5400 for a balance point and humidity control. This will allow the thermostat to act as a fossil fuel kit on a heat pump application. You can program it when a furnace with a coil which requires the heat pump to be shut off so the backup fossil fuel furnace heat comes on or if you want the heat pump to continue to run while the second stage is on.

An optional 5390 indoor remote sensor senses the air temperature at a remote location and transmits the information to the Braeburn 5400 which allows the thermostat to be mounted in a remote location if limited access is desired. The installer has the option of controlling the temperature sensing by using only the thermostat, only the remote sensor or by averaging the two.

The 5400 also has a multi-level keypad lockout to prevent accidental or undesired temperature or settings adjustment. There are separate installer and user reset buttons. The installer button resets all settings to factory defaults and the user button resets only the user level settings.

The free contractor branding puts your company name on the thermostat which is the first place the homeowner goes when the unit needs service.
