There are contractors doing quality work which are highlighted in trade publications with pictures. How many people are seeing the quality of your work? The homeowner you worked for, your workers and maybe the building inspector see your work. Use your uniform piping, valves and pumps all lined up neat and professional as a sales tool when you are out quoting your future jobs. Take pictures! A picture is worth a thousand words, and a camera can help you sell. You can keep a portfolio of projects you have done and use them when quoting a similar project showing your professional work.

You may also consider having a website to showcase your quality of work and scope of work you can offer. Many consumers go online and check out contractors websites when choosing contractors. This can be another way to promote your business and win more jobs. You need to be able to show your customer the quality work they will be getting which will justify you being able to get a fair and maybe a higher price for your work. Like they say “you get what you pay for”.
